Past, Present, and Future

Greetings all

From the resident Wizards and other occult practitioners behind Glyph. We wanted to reach out to everyone who has preordered so far, as well as everyone who has shown any kind of general interest, to say thank you so much for taking the time to engage with the project.

As mentioned, Glyph is currently in the pre-release editing stage. Our powerful literary Warlocks are screaming ululating chants whilst their dread highlighters are picking through the body text of the game in order to provide you with the most coherent, most spelling mistake free version of Glyph that is humanly possible.

Meanwhile, our writers and layout goblins have been hard at work in the caverns below the ancient ziggurat, digging in the fire-baked dirt to find ideas to help make Glyph a fun and ongoing creative endeavour for all.

Our intention is to update Glyph after its release with some supplementary content, additional requests for those of you who would like to sink your teeth into some more Glyphcrafting, and would like a little guidance to do so. We would also like to turn the game's page into a forum where interested parties can request specific Glyphs from other accomplished Glyphcrafters, and Glyphcrafters can come to share their work with others.

Playing Glyph can be a deeply rewarding experience: it can enable a space for introspective self-reflection, and conversely be a fun thing to share with other like-minded creatives. We would like to foster an environment where both of these approaches are supported.

We will post back again once we're nearing the end of the editing phase to let everyone know when they can expect the full v1 file to be released for download.

If you would like a sneak peak behind the curtain, we're soon to be releasing the first of our development diary zines to patreon subscribers. These contain brief breakdowns of what we've worked on week by week during the development cycle (with this first one being a bumper edition chronicling Glyph's nascency, through its growth, to its current state). They'll be a bit rough, a bit funny, and will include a bunch of our rejected ideas, including but not limited to one whole classical hog. You can subscribe here if the dark mood takes you.

So long, and until next time: keep your quills sharp, your hats pointy, and your magic circles bold and unbroken.
