A downloadable game

Losing yourself in the worlds and characters of a TTRPG has always been something truly special. Unlike any other genre of game, players put a real piece of themselves into it, creating treasured memories that remain long after the books and character sheets have gone away. Like receiving a pleasant phone call from an old friend you haven't seen in a while, Threads offers you a chance to reconnect with a character from your past once again.

Incoming Call
An incoming call from BJORN the Grammarian. Do you accept?

What happens to our worlds when we leave them behind?

Threads is a bite-size solo/group game about reminiscing on your favourite TTRPG characters and campaigns - and speculating on the futures of those characters and the worlds they inhabited. Playable solo as a journaling game, or with a group as a supplement to any game world you care to revisit - players will use tarot cards to create their new stories. Each draw helps to inform a new vignette - a window into a moment in your returning character's story, or the world that their actions shaped and changed.

The Lovers
We saw you from across the bar and really liked your vibe...

Use the cards to untangle the Threads

Your character’s story is, much like your own, never totally in your hands. In order to help divine the impact that your campaign had on the world, Threads uses tarot system: Match your tarot draw with one of the game's Keystones, and see how the whims of fate pluck the strings of your story.

Bring together your chosen keystones, and draw your vignette's Becoming, letting the cards decide the fate of the places and people you have come to revisit. For better or worse, the future of this world, and the ripples of your journey's impact on it, are decided by your interpretations of the cards.
